{"id":6591,"date":"2017-09-22T11:38:33","date_gmt":"2017-09-22T09:38:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/?p=6591"},"modified":"2017-09-22T11:51:21","modified_gmt":"2017-09-22T09:51:21","slug":"mojacar-host-petanque-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/devmojacar.talleragencia.com\/en\/mojacar-host-petanque-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"Moj\u00e1car recently hosted a qualifying heat Petanque Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>Velez Rubio\u00b4s &#8220;Los Pistoleros are winners at Moj\u00e1car\u00b4s Petanque event<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The game was supervised by judges from the Federaci\u00f3n Andaluza de Almer\u00eda, ensuring that all the official rules were strictly adhered to. 19 teams were welcomed to the designated facilities provided by Moj\u00e1car Council, situated by the Descargador Beach, a venue which is always highly praised by the teams as well as being the perfect setting for this type of competition.<\/p>\n<p>The day saw a very high standard of play and the winning team, &#8220;The Pistoleros&#8221; from V\u00e9lez-Rubio, had to pull out all the stops to beat &#8220;Los Antusos&#8221; from Antas who came second and the &#8220;Cuevas&#8221; team from Cuevas del Almanzora who were placed third.  Among the local teams, the best came in fifth position, which stands them in good stead for the other rounds that will be held in Antas, Cuevas del Almanzora and finally Carboneras, where the last game will be played on October 13.<br \/>\nMoj\u00e1car\u2019s Sports Councillor, Ana Garc\u00eda, had the task of presenting the Council\u2019s prizes to the top three. There were also &#8220;consolation&#8221; prizes for the others, because as everyone knows, the most important thing is to participate!<\/p>\n<p>The Los V\u00e9lez Petanque Circuit is organized by the Negociado de Cooperaci\u00f3n Deportiva Intermunicipal in collaboration, for this round, with Moj\u00e1car Council. The event is the type of sporting challenge in which anyone who has an interest in the game is welcome to participate. It is also quite unique in that, teams may be made up of all male, all female or mixed entrants, with a minimum age of 10.
